SUMMARY:MIPRO 2014 - Action session at the International Workshop/Conference
DESCRIPTION:The meeting organised in Croatia between May 26th and 30th is expected to attract experts in the field of electrical and (micro)electronics engineers. Their collaboration is needed in developing new devices that are used in electroporation-based technologies and treatments. Furthermore\, the meeting in Croatia is likely to attract attendance from the Balkan area\, and potentially facilitate the participation from  other COST Countries such as Bosnia-Herzegovina and Hungary\, as well as Near Neighbour Countries like Montenegro. SUMMARY:iFOOD Conference 2013
DESCRIPTION:When the iFOOD conference was launched in 2011\, the event had turned out to be a great success. About 150 international guests met up in Osnabruck to exchange and learn about novel processing technologies. In 2013\, the German Institute of Food Technology (DIL) wants to build on these assets and host the next iFOOD Conference. DESCRIPTION:7th Conference on Experimental and Translational Oncology – CETO Co-Organized by COST Action TD1104\nApril 20 – 24\, 2013\nPortoroz\, Slovenia \nThe aim of the Conference is to promote the achievements of basic and clinical investigators on mechanisms of tumor initiation\, development and progression as well as the introduction of new strategies for detection\, prevention and treatment of cancer. Lectures\, short oral presentations and poster presentations selected from submitted abstracts will cover seven major Conference topics:\n•    Tumor progression\,\n•    Invasion and metastases\,\n•    Biomarkers\,\n•    New drugs and therapeutic targets\,\n•    Delivery systems in cancer\,\n•    Cellular therapy\,\n•    Biomedical applications of electroporation\,\n•    Environmental carcinogens and cancer prevention.\nThe topic Biomedical applications of electroporation will be Co-Organized by COST Action TD1104. It will consist of three sections where the discussion leaders will be Julie Gehl\, Marie-Pierre Rols\, Maja Cemazar and Gregor Sersa.
